Another fabulous achievement of the year was bringing the Museum of the Moon to Durham. This work – a 7-meter-diameter illuminated sculpture of the moon, by Bristol artist Luke Jerram – was suspended above Durham’s town square over Halloween weekend. Amongst various activities, his awesome team from the Museum (pictured here are Jenna, Tomara, and Steve) collaborated with Durham Public Schools on a Lunar Lander Design Challenge with fourth and sixth graders from two local schools.
