For Shannon’s birthday, Mitch “booked” her for bookbinding classes at Shepherd’s, part of the oldest bookbinding company in London, and acknowledged as one of the most important companies of the craft from the 19th and 20th centuries.

In four weeks, she made countless notebooks, journals, and a hand-sewn photo album from scratch, littering their apartment with scraps of paper in the process.
